DAY 6




ASSIGN YOURSELF:   Over the weekend you must complete:
1.   Your study buddy reflections to the present day 6:
2.   Design your cover that MUST include your GOAL for the class. EX:  85!.  So your design could be IN BIG LETTERS& NUMBERS “GOAL 85 & LEVEL 4 TECH” You design it but be able to explain where the goal is and remember it must be a SMART GOAL.
3.   COVER must also include two IB learner profiles
a.  One that you demonstrate NOW
b.  One that you are working on to improve      
DO NOW:  Begin PRETEST TECH DIAGNOSTICS.  This is the TEST to determine your technology skills it is not for a grade. THE BIG GOAL is for you improve by the end of the semester by AT LEAST TWO LEVELS. EX: If you scored a 50, I would hope you would achieve at least a 70 by end of semester. In most cases it will of course be much higher.  That is a minimum expectation, the tech savvy will want to improve by 4-5 levels.


OBJECTIVE: STWB Assessed taking a Technology Diagnostics test.

AGENDA
1. PRETEST IN QUIA

2. EXIT TICKET: QUIA EXIT TICKET WHAT  was your test score and how many levels you want to improve in increments of 10.  The example would be if I scored a 60 and wanted to improve by two levels it would be at least an 80 ON EOC exam for MYP TECH.

DAY 4


TUESDAY-B/WEDNESDAY-A, 8/30-8/31-STUDY BUDDY

ASSIGN YOURSELF:  Complete Syllabus boxes and have signed.

DO NOW: Read handout: QUIETLY

OBJECTIVE: STWBAT complete their study buddy and have sample pages for days one-day three
GUIDING QUESTION:  HOW CAN I MAKE SOUND CHOICES?

AGENDA
1.  Reading- Syllabus as class-SEE SOCIAL CONTRACT BOXES FOR HOMEWORK
SOCIAL CONTRACT: My responsibilities: To teach you to apply Technology in real world applications and prepare you for technology use in college.  I have the right to teach all students in a classroom environment without interruption.  In a classroom that encourages students to speak their opinion and not be judged.
2.  GUIDED PRACTICE: Demonstrate set up of Study Buddy
3.  INDEPENDENT PRACTICE: Students set up Study Buddy, cut, paste in order as described in handout
4.  DISCUSSION ASSIGNMENT: Explain your understanding of the design cycle.(4 stages)Investigate, plan, create and evaluate. SEE HANDOUT
7. SCHOOLOGY: Compare this movie to one IB Learner profile which do you think it is most suitable for?  How about MYP Criteria F compare and contrast both movie and criteria F.
