DAY 11, DAY 3-INVESTIGATION REFLECTION



AGENDA
  1. ASSIGN YOURSELF:Design/Plan due FRIDAY 9/23-Bday, Monday 9/26 ADay.  
  2. Quiz-Wed-Bday, 9/21/Thur-ADay-9/22
  3. DO NOW: Win a Million 
Guided Practice: Today you will complete your comparison and include a table that has 2 columns x 4 rows minimum for measurement.  You can see my comparison.  
REMEMBER the sample IB project had 26 pages that included:
  • rubric to compare each tool
  • pictures displaying the tool -icon
  • pictures of the layout
  • final comparison & decision that included both table rubrics with totals.
  • your reflection of what you learned in the process of learning about the tool.
INDEPENDENT PRACTICE: 
  1. Create table measurement rubric for your tool, 
  2. Post to your blog table comparisons
  3. Include your details a page for each tool.

DAY 10

AGENDA
  1. ASSIGN YOURSELF:  Investigation & Design Stage due to your blog by Day 12!! Take notes of your researching sites.  Record your written response to handout.  Then in class you can update or at home.  
  2. DO NOW:  Review for Next Week's QUIZ-Project Questions, deadlines? PLAY & LEARN
  3. OBJECTIVE: STW Investigate two ideas for their their UNIT project.  
  4. GUIDED PRACTICE: Discuss FREEWARE PROJECT VS YOUR PROJECT.
    • What two ideas have you thought of to create?
    • Have you compared the two? 
    • Have you created a rubric to do the comparison?
    • What are the elements that you are using to select the best product to create?
    • Is simplicity one of your elements you are using to measure & score your selection?
  5. INDEPENDENT PRACTICE: PROJECT REFLECTION:This is an example from a Level 3 student.  You all are Level 5, so I expect more explanation of your progress daily. You are basically recording on your blog everyday you work on your project, What you are doing and your analysis as you progress in the project.  The above questions are a few that can be included in your post.  Type your progress daily to your blog & USE YOUR handout for recording in writing. Then record ALL OF YOUR SOURCES of information and update blog as needed.

Each year September 11 is an opportunity for all of us to join together and pay tribute in a positive way to the 9/11 victims, and others. Simply pledge to perform simple acts of compassion, such as performing good deeds, helping someone in need, volunteering or supporting a charity of personal choice.

What can we do to make a difference this year for "NATIONAL MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY", OCTOBER 22?  What could we do as a campus?
