When purchasing items online you should always look for the following:




  • secure web sites that encrypt and protect your information
  • security clues, i.e. the lock symbol at the bottom of the page
  • security policy or statement about protecting your information
  • costs associated with the purchase are not hidden
  • return, refund or credit policy

Design task:  You will be designing an ad campaign - an audio public
 service announcement, a video commercial & either a poster or brochure 
about your digital citizenship topic.  Your goal will be to use a slogan & 
logo to create the products that best gets the message about digital 
citizenship topic out to your fellow classmates.  You must include a 
minimum of 10 facts & site your sources.
Tools for each piece:
  • Audio public service announcement - use Audacity to create a .mp3 file of 
    your radio broadcast. (imovie/animoto)
  • Video commercial - use VoiceThread to create a 1min or less commercial 
    using 10 images and sound. You can also choose another tool like Imovie.  
    These are both options, research 
    your topic before you choose the type of method.
  • Poster - use a posterboard 22" x 28" with images and text.
  • Brochure - to create a two page brochure with 3 images and text.
